In our society and culture that exists in American sexuality, breastfeeding last 2 is probably not a good idea. A child receives all the nutrients they need to grow strong right now and no longer need milk.

I'm still breastfeeding my 22 months. I am very extended breastfeeding and do everything that I have to educate people about it. There are so many misconceptions about breastfeeding and extended breastfeeding, and a lot of ignorance.
I agree with the WHO, UNICEF, CIP, etc., in his statement that there is no upper age limit for breastfeeding. Placing an arbitrary age limit that would be totally unfair, because every child the age of natural weaning (2.5 to 7 years) reached in their own time.

Why on earth should anyone be disturbed the opportunities for their children? Those who make decisions judge for your family, and not on others for theirs.
Personally, I will allow my son to decide when they no longer need to suck, I will not encourage, at all weaning. I am currently 21 weeks pregnant, and you are likely to take care of my newborn son tandem, and I practice with both child stool, and all children in the future. I am in favor of extended breastfeeding, I extend to no more than 1 years, until you leave the house! I weaned my daughter when she was 22 months and pregnant with my son because he was too ill, and I fed once a day, maybe it was simple. My son is now 23 months and breastfeeding, again very low. He eats solid food, drinks from a cup, place the milk, so that only some nurses usually first in the morning when he is awake, and came to our bed to snuggle. I think it is easier to wean when they are older, are not so much of him is as a primary source of nutrition, it is not over yet.
When it comes to the duration of breastfeeding, I can only say that everyone gets his share.

What does my personal experience, I breastfed my daughter for over 2 years and there was nothing wrong / bad / evil. He did not offer more than good.
I am satisfied with the decision of my parents on this issue, and I hope that all happy with them.

I stopped when my kids a little more than 2 years. My sister took care of her until 3, and one of my sisters ... her son, almost 4th I think it is a little old.
At this point they get so little milk that I could not really about you and your health is a problem for the child if he / she calls his friends care.
Children are cruel, you will need them any more ammunition. This is just my opinion. Do not look down on those who breastfed for longer than I (although 2 years is a long time in the world today). But I see that breastfeeding is kids go to school just weird.
